Last date of filing of Income Tax Returns extended upto 31st October 2017

The GST was enacted w.e.f. 1^st July, 2017 and the Government has been extending the due dates for the respective returns in the recent days.

In view of this, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) through its notice dated 31^st August, 2017 has decided to extend the due date for filing of Income Tax Returns and Tax Audit Reports. Now, the due date for such submission has been extended to 31^st October, 2017. In other words, the NGOs where audit is compulsorily required under Income Tax Act may file their Income tax returns till 31^st October, 2017.
